The road to Augusta officially kicked off this summer as the Section hosted four highly successful Drive, Chip and Putt local qualifiers across the state of Alabama. Young competitors showcased incredible talent, determination, and sportsmanship across all age divisions, taking their first step toward the National Finals at Augusta National Golf Club.

DeBonis Captures Match Play Championship
At Vestavia, Jordan DeBonis defeated Paul McClure 1 up, while Ben Wood defeated Curtis Ohrn 6 and 4 to solidify their spots in the Final Round. DeBonis was crowned the 2026 Alabama - NW Florida Section Match Play Champion after defeating Wood 4 and 3.

Jordan DeBonis, Head Professional at The Ledges, finished 5-under-par 67 and defeated Christian Bosso in a one-hole playoff, holing out from 162 yards to win.
