67th Alabama Open presented by Elmore County EDA

FORMAT
The format is 54 holes of individual stroke play with the field cut to the low 60 players and ties after 36 holes (player total making cut is subject to change based on the total field size).

ELIGIBILITY
ALL player’s shall play from the same yardage.

A) – Each amateur participant must reside within the State of Alabama or be a full-time college student attending a College/University/Junior College in the State of Alabama. Amateurs MUST have a current handicap with the Alabama Golf Association.  Non-PGA Golf Professionals must reside in the State of Alabama.  All Alabama – NW Florida Section Members and Associates in good standing are eligible.

B) – The player MUST designate before play, whether they are a Professional or Amateur.

Alabama Open Pro-Am

RTJ Golf Trail at Capitol Hill | July 22, 2024

The Alabama Open Pro-Am held in conjunction with the Alabama Open is to give back to our sponsors.

Sponsors, invited guests and registered teams will have the opportunity to play on the same course the day before the championship is contested.

Each foursome will be paired with one of our Alabama-NW Florida PGA Professionals in an 18-hole Pro-Am format.

Drew Mathers Wins The 66th Alabama Open

The 2023 Alabama Open presented by the Elmore County Economic Development Authority was one for the books as Drew Mathers of Mobile birdied the 53rd hole of the tournament to secure a one shot victory over Zach Sucher of Birmingham. Mathers finished at 13-under 203 while Sucher finished at 12-under par 204. John Bruce finished in third place with a final round 66 to get to 205 for the tournament.

Drew Mathers pocketed $10,000 for the win, while Sucher cashed a check for $5,500 for three days of work.

The Low Amateur was John Bruce of Guntersville who finished the tournament at third overall.
