About the Tournament
The inaugural Alabama Cup took place at Willow Point Golf & Country Club in Alexander City, AL on October 3-4, 2022. The biannual event highlights competition between two ten-player teams selected by the Alabama – NW Florida PGA Section (Professional Team) and the Alabama Golf Association (Amateur Team).
The format consists of one round of Modified Alternate Shot Match Play and one round of Singles Match Play. Each match is worth one point with a half-point awarded for halved matches. No points are awarded for lost matches. It requires 8 points to win the Cup.

Each team will consist of 10 players.
Top six (6) Members from the AL Cup POY List.
Top two (2) Seniors from the AL Cup POY List (not already on the team).
Top two (2) Females from the AL Cup List, if the spots are not filled from that list, it will revert to the Assistant POY List.
The team will be chosen based on the Alabama Cup Points List (starting with the 2022 Gulf Coast Chapter Championship at Pensacola Country Club through the 2024 Alabama – NW Florida PGA Professional Championship at Greystone Golf & Country Club).
