2021 Scholarship Program

Established in 2020,  the Alabama–NW Florida Golf Foundation Scholarship Program exists to encourage and promote the attainment of higher education for youth who have demonstrated a high level of achievement during high school or college, have financial need, and have shown interest in the game of golf.  Ultimately, the Foundation exists to create life-changing opportunities through the game of golf – we believe these scholarships are helping us fulfill this dream.

Establishing these scholarships is symbolic to us.  Traditionally, we have been able to focus our efforts in three ways – engaging youth, military communities and striving for inclusion. Our hope is this Scholarship Program becomes a light for new opportunities, hopes and dreams for students across Alabama and the Florida Panhandle.

2021 Scholarship Opportunities

  • Junior Golf / Junior Tour Scholarship ($2,500) – Our Foundation has been a supporter of the Alabama–NW Florida PGA Junior Tour since its inception.  Engaging the next generation of golfers will always be paramount to our mission of serving the game.  Therefore, we are establishing a scholarship for students who have participated on our Junior Tour.
  • PGA Professional Family Scholarship ($2,500) – Since the Foundation is directly connected to the PGA Section, it makes all the sense in the world to provide opportunities for the heartbeat of our Section – our PGA Professionals.  These men and women are on the front lines of making this game special for thousands across our Section, so we decided to include a scholarship honoring them and their families.  This scholarship opportunity will be awarded to any student directly related to a PGA Professional who is a Member of the Alabama–NW Florida Section (family members include sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, etc).
