Establishing these scholarships is symbolic to us. Traditionally, we have been able to focus our efforts in three ways – engaging youth and military communities while striving for inclusion. Our hope is this Scholarship Program becomes a light for new opportunities, hopes, and dreams for students across Alabama and the Florida Panhandle.
2024 Scholarship Opportunities
- Junior Golf / Junior Tour Scholarship – Our Foundation has been a supporter of the Alabama – NW Florida PGA Junior Tour since its inception. Engaging the next generation of golfers will always be paramount to our mission of serving the game. Therefore, we are establishing a scholarship for students who have participated on our Junior Tour and have played in at least one (1) event throughout their Membership from 2010-2022. Participation in Junior Golf Alabama events satisfies the Junior Tour requirements.
- PGA Professional Family Scholarship – Since the Foundation is directly connected to the PGA Section, this scholarship was designed to give back to the heartbeat of our Section – the PGA Professionals. These men and women are on the front lines of making golf special for thousands across our Section, so we decided to include a scholarship honoring them and their families. This scholarship opportunity will be awarded to any student directly related to a PGA Professional who is a Member of the Alabama – NW Florida Section (family members include sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, etc).

Established in 2020, the Alabama – NW Florida Golf Foundation Scholarship Program exists to encourage and promote the attainment of higher education for youth who have demonstrated a high level of achievement during high school or college, have financial need, and have shown interest in the game of golf. Ultimately, the Foundation exists to create life-changing opportunities through the game of golf – we believe these scholarships are helping us fulfill this dream.
