Alexander City, AL (April 5, 2019) — Willow Point Golf & Country Club is opening up its doors to the Alexander City community this summer and allowing any and all junior golfers to participate in the club’s PGA Jr. League team.  “Our goal is to have enough kids to form our own Willow Point League,” says PGA Head Golf Professional, Matt Sheppard.  “Less than 20 percent of our membership actually lives here [in Alexander City] … so we’re really excited about this.  The opportunity to give back to the community and grow the game of golf is unbelievable.”

Sheppard along with Assistant Golf Professional, Jake Greer, and Mississippi State PGM Intern, Jesse Grimes, hosted a series of introductory golf classes in conjunction with local elementary schools’ P.E. programs.

2019 registration for PGA Jr. League is now open.  Learn more at pgajrleague.com 〉
