Page/Martino Win E-Z-GO Pro-Pro
Forty-four teams competed for the top spot in this year’s E-Z-GO Pro-Pro tournament at RTJ Golf Trail at Ross Bridge, with Cam Page and Noah Martino shooting 9-under-par 63 to win, one stroke ahead of Luke Wilson and Christian Bosso, who finished 8-under-par 64.
Holes No. 1 through 6 were Best Ball, Alternate Shot for Holes No. 7 through 12, and Scramble for Holes No. 13 through 18.
Page/Martino made nine birdies, the most of the day, and rounded out their scorecard with nine pars and no bogeys. Justin James/Shea Balch, Nate Overman/Connor Goodwin, and Wilson/Bosso each had one eagle and seven birdies.
There was a six-way tie for third place. Curtis Ohrn/Dylan Shephard, Ron Stromeyer/Ben Wood, Grant Verlin/Zack Campbell, Patrick Richardson/Brennan Dolnick, Overman/Goodwin, and Zac Clark/John Loza all shot 7-under-par 65 to tie for third.
Mike Genovese/John Racciatti, Jr., Rea Schuessler/Scott Smith, Garrett Powell/Neil Thompson, and Brian Corn/Brian Richards shot 6-under-par 66 to round out the top 10.
On Sunday night before the event, the Section hosted Sunday at the Backyard sponsored by E-Z-GO at RTJ Golf Trail at Oxmoor Valley. All E-Z-GO Pro-Pro participants were invited to attend this 9-hole Stroke Play event. With the longest hole at 132 yards, the Backyard was the perfect venue for this fun night. Congratulations to Robert Whitt, who had a hole-in-one and shot the lowest score of this event!
Thank you to our host PGA Professional, Chip Purser, and everyone at Ross Bridge for hosting this event! We would also like to thank the E-Z-GO team, Luke Martin, Cam Bahler, and David Tennant, for their continued support of this event and the Section.
