McClure Wins Final Stroke Play

The sixth Stroke Play Series event of the year took place on Monday, October 5th, at Wynlakes Golf & Country Club in Montgomery, Alabama. This is the final of six tournaments with players competing for an additional purse based on cumulative point totals.

Paul McClure, Head Golf Professional at RTJ Golf Trail at Magnolia Grove, finished 5-under-par 67 as he sank seven birdies to win.

The leaderboard also saw a solid round from Zac Clark, Luke Wilson, and Carter Goodwin who finished 3-under par to tie for second. 

Jordan DeBonis and Christian Bosso fired a 2-under par to tie for fifth, and Kelly Cushmore finished 1-under par for solo seventh.

There was a three-way tie for eighth place with Trey Rouse, Brennan Dolnick, and Robbie Blackwell finishing at even par to round out the top 10.

After six events, Goodwin has extended his lead in the Stroke Play Series Points List and clinched the title with 222.33 points.
