Goodwin Wins Fifth Stroke Play
Our fifth Stroke Play Series event of the year was held at RTJ Golf Trail at Hampton Cove in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama.
This was the fifth of six tournaments with players competing for an additional purse based on point totals for the six events.
Carter Goodwin’s 5-under-par 67 was the low score of the day as he sank two birdies on his final two holes to win. Ben Wood, Christian Bosso, and Jordan DeBonis tied for second, finishing just one stroke behind Goodwin.
There was a three-way tie for fifth place with Jeff Jordan, Robbie Blackwell, and Neil Thompson all finishing 3-under par.
Parker Milam finished 2-under-par 70, and Glenn Garnett, Brian Corn, Allen Micheal Burnett, and Luke Wilson rounded out those who finished below par at 1-under par.
