Garnett Brilliant at Bent Brook
Our first Stroke Play Series event of the year was held at Bent Brook Golf Course in Bessemer, Alabama.
This was the first of six tournaments with players competing for an additional purse based on point totals for the six events.
Glenn Garnett’s 8-under-par 64 was the low score of the day as he sank seven birdies and holed out for eagle on his last hole.
Carter Goodwin finished 6-under par, and Christian Bosso finished 5-under par.
There was a tie for fourth place with Robbie Blackwell and Ben Wood finishing 4-under-par 68.
The top nine finishers and the winner of the closest to the pin on the third hole, Ron Stromeyer, also received a new pair of sunglasses courtesy of Maui Jim.
