DeBonis Wins Third Stroke Play in Playoff
The third Stroke Play Series event of the year took place on Monday, June 15th, at Hoover Country Club. This is the third of six tournaments with players competing for an additional purse based on cumulative point totals.
Jordan DeBonis, Head Professional at The Ledges, finished 5-under-par 67 as he sank two eagles and four birdies. He holed out from 162 yards on the first hole to defeat Christian Bosso in a playoff.
The leaderboard also saw a solid round from Carter Goodwin, who finished 4-under-par 68, and Cooper Simmons, who finished 3-under par. There was a four-way tie for fifth place with Glenn Garnett, Justin Waltman, John Racciatti, Jr., and Dominic Diaz finishing 2-under-par 70.
Four more, Robbie Blackwell, Allen Michael Burnett, Brennan Dolnick, and Ben Wood, finished 1-under-par 71 to tie for ninth.
At the halfway point, Goodwin leads the Stroke Play Series Points List with 115.00 points.
