DeBonis/Story Win E-Z-GO Pro-Pro
Forty-eight teams battled it out for the top spot in this year’s E-Z-GO Pro-Pro at Vestavia Country Club with Jordan DeBonis and Brad Story shooting 12-under-par 59 to win, two strokes ahead of Neil Thompson and Paul Whitman who finished 10-under-par 61.
The winning duo also received travel duffel bags from Stitch Golf embroidered with “E-Z-GO Pro-Pro Champion” to commemorate their win.
Holes No. 1 through 6 were Scramble, Alternate Shot for Holes No. 7 through 12, and Best Ball for Holes No. 13 through 18.
DeBonis/Story made one eagle and 10 birdies, the most of the day, and rounded out their scorecard with seven pars and no bogeys. Brian Corn/Brian Richards and Noah Martino/Cam Page each had nine birdies.
Martino/Page, Steve Cutler/Kyle Sullivan, and Corn/Richards shot 8-under-par 63 to tie for third.
Derek Sewell/Connor Slane shot 7-under-par 64 for sixth. Robbie Blackwell/Ty Zimmerman, Michael Caune/Cole Henry, John Racciatti/Dylan Moncus shot 6-under-par 65 to tie for seventh.
Following play, players enjoyed lunch and time to socialize before announcing the winners and presenting the Stitch Golf duffel bags.
