Amateur Team Wins 2022 Alabama Cup
The 2022 Alabama Cup was held at Willow Point Golf & Country Club on October 3-4, 2022. The Alabama Cup Matches are a biennial friendly event between the Alabama – NW Florida PGA (Professional Team) and the Alabama Golf Association (Amateur Team). The Professional Team was comprised of six members, two seniors, and two females chosen based on the 2022 Player of the Year Points List.
The two 10-person teams gathered at Willow Point G. & C. C. for lunch, team pictures, and then teed off for a beautiful afternoon of golf. The first round consisted of foursome matches, and the Amateur Team outscored the Professional Team 4-1. Both teams joined each other for dinner later that night.
The second round began Tuesday morning with singles matches. The Amateur Team won eight matches while the Professional Team won two.

The Amateur Team secured their victory 12-3 over the Professional Team.
