Bosso Back-to-Back in Alabama Championship
The Section hosted the two-day Alabama Championship, sponsored by StrackaLine, at Musgrove Country Club in Jasper, Alabama, on May 5-6, 2025. Defending champion Christian Bosso held on to his first-round lead to win the tournament.
Bosso ended the first round 6-under-par 65, leading by three strokes. The next round, he shot 1-under-par 70 to end the tournament 7-under par, winning by just one stroke. Jordan DeBonis finished 6-under par to take second, and Jake Greer finished 4-under for third. Luke Wilson and Ben Wood tied for fourth, shooting 3-under par. Dominic Diaz was the final player to finish under par, shooting 2-under to finish in sixth place.
In the Senior Division, Mike Genovese had the lowest score of the division, with a 7-under-par 135. Neil Thompson finished 1-under par for second place, and Jeff Jordan and Lawrence Auer tied for third place, shooting 2-over par. Patrick Richardson rounded out the top five, finishing 3-over par.
We also had six players in the Super Senior Division, and Charlie Krenkel’s 8-over-par 150 was enough to put him in first place. Jerry Applegate, Ed Davis, Jon Samuelson, Mark Brewer, and Lonnie Joe Turney rounded out the Super Senior Division.
